      <image:title>Blog - How to Declutter Your Car (Without Overwhelm): A Guide to a Calm, Neat Ride - Step 5: Organize What Goes Back In Here's where thoughtful organizing makes all the difference. Resist the urge to simply toss everything back inside. Instead, give each item a designated home. This is the real key to success here! Helpful organizing tools: Small trunk organizer for emergency items Console tray divider Seat-back pocket organizer (especially for families) Small pouch for registration and insurance Keep it simple. The goal is function, not perfection. As a professional organizer, I always say: The simpler the system, the more likely you are to maintain it. Step 6: Create a Maintenance Routine The secret to long-term success isn't a one-time deep clean. It's consistent, small resets. Try this maintenance plan: Remove trash every time you get gas (this is my top tip!). Empty your car completely once a month. Keep a small trash bag in the console. When organizing becomes a habit rather than a big project, your car stays neat effortlessly.</image:title>

      <image:title>Blog - Current Home Organizing Trends — From a Professional Organizer in the Twin Cities - As a professional home organizer serving the Minneapolis–St. Paul metro area, I work with busy executives and homeowners who want their homes to function better — not just look organized for a week. If you’ve ever searched “home organizing trends” and thought, “That’s lovely, but completely unrealistic,” you’re not wrong. The good news? Home organizing trends in Minneapolis–St. Paul are shifting toward practical, sustainable, low-maintenance systems designed for real life. Here’s what I’m seeing — and implementing — in homes across the Twin Cities.</image:title>

      <image:title>Blog - Current Home Organizing Trends — From a Professional Organizer in the Twin Cities - 4. Low-Maintenance Organizing Systems for Busy Professionals Another major trend in professional home organizing is a shift away from perfection and toward maintenance. Busy executives and homeowners need: Fewer steps to put things away Clear homes for everyday items Simple reset routines instead of constant reorganizing The most successful organizing systems quietly support your daily life. When organization is low-effort, it actually lasts. 5. Home Organization for Mental Clarity and Reduced Stress More homeowners are recognizing that clutter affects more than their space — it affects their focus and stress levels. Clients hire me because they want: Calmer mornings Faster routines Less visual noise A home that feels supportive, not demanding Modern professional organizing is about creating mental clarity, not just tidy rooms. <image:title>Blog - Thoughts About Organizing (From Someone Who’s Seen It All… and Then Some) - Hey there, you adorable, overwhelmed human! Let me guess—you’re staring at your kitchen counter, wondering how that much stuff even got there. Or maybe every time you open your closet, you’re tempted to light a match and walk away. (Please don’t, though.) Don’t worry. You’re not alone, and you’re definitely not the only one who’s ever said, “I don’t know where to start.” As a professional home organizer, I’ve heard it all. The chaos, the clutter, the feeling that your home is closing in on you. Been there. Fixed that. And guess what? As is the way of the world, there are always new trends out there, and this is excellent news, because organizing trends are not only innovative and sustainable, but they are actually doable—no perfection or label-maker obsession required (unless you’re into that, like me!). Let’s get into what’s hot this year in the world of home organizing and how it can help you ditch the overwhelm and take back control of your space (and maybe even your sanity).</image:title>

      <image:caption>Listen, I love a clean space—but the new vibe is less “Pinterest-perfect” and more “my home doesn’t stress me out anymore.” Clutter = chaos. Chaos = stress. Stress = a sad you. It’s science. Or close enough. This year, more people are realizing that getting organized is really about feeling better. That means: Creating calm corners in your home (plants, soft lighting, fewer piles of unopened mail) Doing a little weekend “reset” instead of waiting for things to explode Letting go of stuff that’s just hanging around, making you feel guilty Your space should support you, not constantly scream “clean me!”</image:caption>

      <image:title>Blog - How to Organize a Garage Without Losing Your Mind - Unless you’re a millionaire, most garages aren’t Pinterest-worthy. If you’re like many people I’ve worked with here in the Minneapolis and St. Paul metro area, your garage is more like a black hole than a storage space. It starts with putting just a couple of things in there (like unflattened Amazon boxes) and then, it somehow becomes a dumping ground for everything that doesn’t fit in the house. One day, you go to park your car and realize... you can't. Sound familiar? If your garage has become the Land of Too Much Stuff and you feel completely overwhelmed even thinking about it, don’t worry—you are not alone. As a professional organizer, I’ve seen it all. The good news? Decluttering and organizing your garage is totally doable, I promise. Read on to learn how to get started (without losing your marbles).</image:title>

At the end of our sessions, we are left with many items that people no longer want. Sometimes, it makes sense to have a garage sale, given the quality and quantity of discarded things. It’s an excellent way to get rid of stuff you no longer need, want, or use, and you can make some extra cash and create more space in your home. However, organizing a garage sale can feel overwhelming, especially when you look at all the stuff you’ve accumulated over the years. The good news is it doesn’t have to be chaotic! It feels that way initially, but with some planning and organization, you can turn your garage sale into a smooth, successful event. Here’s how!</image:title>

      <image:title>Blog - How to Organize a Garage Sale: A Professional Home Organizer’s Guide - 4. Make Your Sale Inviting A tidy and inviting space can make all the difference. A professional home organizer knows that the layout is everything when it comes to creating a space that works. For your garage sale, this means ensuring enough room for people to move around comfortably. Set up tables for smaller items like kitchenware or books, and use clothing racks for hanging clothes. Arrange everything in an orderly way—don’t just throw things in piles. And don’t forget to make things easy to access; you don’t want people knocking over stacks of things while they try to check out your sale.</image:title>

      <image:title>Blog - 5 Simple Tips to Organize Your Small Space Like a Pro - 3. Invest in Multitasking Furniture When space is tight, every piece of furniture should work as hard as you do. Look for innovative, space-saving designs that offer both function and storage. Best Space-Saving Furniture: • Storage ottomans – perfect for hiding blankets, toys, or magazines. Fold-out desks – work when you need them, tuck them away when you don’t. Beds with drawers – extra storage for clothes or bedding. Expandable tables – great for guests but compact when not in use. Choosing furniture that works double duty keeps your home organized without adding clutter.</image:title>

      <image:caption>As a professional home organizer, I totally get it—when your home office is a chaotic jumble of stuff—papers everywhere, messes on every surface—it can feel downright overwhelming. Trust me, you’re not alone! I see this often with clients, where their formerly neat and tidy spaces succumb to chaos. Today, I want to share some down-to-earth tips that’ll help you tame the clutter and create a workspace that looks great and feels like a breath of fresh air. Let’s start by facing the reality: your workspace might be drowning in papers, random office supplies, and other bits of stuff you’ve meant to sort out. It’s easy for things to get out of hand, and before you know it, that cute and cozy little home office has transformed into a mini chaos zone. But don’t worry—you can return to that happy space by taking one step at a time.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Blog - Transforming Your Home Office: Taming the Chaos - Step 4: Be Ruthless with Your Stuff We all tend to hang onto stuff we don’t need. Are you with me here? When you’re sorting through your home office, ask yourself: do I really need this? That old folder of papers or extra equipment might be adding to the mess without serving a real purpose. Letting go of non-essential items can free up space and lighten your mental load. Trust me, a lighter space means a lighter mind. And doesn’t that sound magical?</image:title>

      <image:title>Blog - Living with Less: How Buying Less, Repairing What You Have, and Stopping Overconsumption Can Reduce Clutter and Overwhelm - As a professional home organizer, I see many clients struggling with one thing: too much stuff. Over time, the endless cycle of buying more, accumulating clutter, and feeling overwhelmed by everything you own can make life chaotic. Often, people tell me they don’t think there is a way to improve this situation, and I always tell them we can absolutely break that cycle. I ask them, what if instead of constantly buying new things, you focused on buying less, learning how to repair what you already own, and working on becoming more intentional with what you bring into your home? Trust me, a life with fewer things doesn’t just mean less clutter — it can create more space in your mind and bring a sense of calm. Let’s get into it!</image:title>

      <image:title>Blog - Living with Less: How Buying Less, Repairing What You Have, and Stopping Overconsumption Can Reduce Clutter and Overwhelm</image:title>
      <image:caption>Learning to Repair: Fix, Don’t Replace Another great way to reduce consumption and clutter is by learning to repair your stuff! It’s become so easy to toss something broken and buy something new that taking the time to fix things can feel like a lost art. But it doesn’t have to be complicated, and it’s a much more sustainable option than constantly buying new. Think about it — how often have you thrown out an item just because it had a minor issue? From fixing a broken zipper on your favorite jacket to repairing a chair that’s lost a leg, many things around the house can be repaired with a little effort. It’s also surprisingly rewarding to fix something yourself rather than just replacing it. Just look at what the younger generation is into – sewing, mending, furniture repair. The change is happening, and now is a great time to switch mindsets and lean into taking care of what we already own. If you don’t know how to repair something, tons of resources are available! Check out YouTube tutorials, online forums, and DIY guides that can teach you to tackle simple repairs. Learning to fix things can make you feel more resourceful and less dependent on constantly buying new items.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Blog - How to Rightsize or Downsize Your Home - Step 4: Optimize Your New Space Once you’ve pared down your belongings, the next step is to plan how to use your new space effectively. Space organizing is more than just fitting your items into a smaller area; it’s about creating a functional and inviting home. Here are a few tips: Maximize storage: Invest in multi-functional furniture, such as ottomans with hidden compartments or beds with built-in drawers. This is a game-changer! Think vertical: Use wall-mounted shelves, hooks, and organizers to maximize vertical space. Look up and see your unused space, and you’ll be surprised by how much storage you actually have! Zone your space: Designate specific areas for different activities, like reading, working, or entertaining, to make your home feel larger and more organized. I do this by helping clients create a customized plan that ensures every item has a home, reduces clutter, and the new space works specifically for them.</image:title>

But here’s the good news: organizing your home can do more than make it look nice – it can transform how you feel. Whether you realize it or not, how your space is organized directly impacts your mental and emotional well-being. A messy home can leave you feeling overwhelmed, distracted, and anxious, while a tidy, intentional space promotes calm, focus, and a sense of control. Think about it – it feels awful when you come home at the end of the day and are greeted with clutter. But your mood is dramatically better when you have cleaned up the piles and put them where they belong. So, if you’re ready to turn your home into a haven that nurtures your mind and soul, here’s a guide to help you do that.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Blog - How to Organize Your Home to Boost Mental and Emotional Well-Being - Create Purposeful Zones Now that you’ve decluttered, it’s time to consider how your home functions. Every room should have a clear purpose. Think of your home like a stage—each area needs to support its own specific act. If you work from home, create a dedicated workspace that fosters focus and creativity. Anything goes, so think creatively! A well-organized desk in a quiet corner works really well if you don’t have other spaces. If you’re a reader like me, think about setting up a cozy reading nook with soft lighting and comfy cushions. The strategy here is to create zones based on how you use the various spaces. Think of it as space organizing. Your bedroom should be a retreat for rest, your kitchen should be functional (check out this blog for tips on how to set that up) and easy to clean, and your living room should be for relaxing and entertaining. Defining the purpose of each space will help you feel more in control and reduce that sense of overwhelm. Smart Storage for a Stress-Free Space Once you’ve decluttered and zoned your home, the next step is to find storage solutions that keep your spaces organized long-term. Various storage options will really make a difference when it comes to maintaining an orderly home. Most people think of primary bins and baskets, but a skilled professional home organizer will help you find all kinds of storage options. Choose storage that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Open shelving is great for items you want to display, but bins or storage containers are great for things you need to hide away. If you’re short on space, go vertical with wall-mounted shelves or hooks. The goal is to have a place for everything. This way, you will not constantly battle clutter. When things are easy to find and put away, you’ll spend less time tidying up and more time enjoying your space. Doesn’t that sound lovely?!</image:title>

      <image:title>Blog - A Home Organizer’s Guide to Organizing Your Kitchen for Optimal Meal Prep and Cooking - Organize Your Pantry for Efficiency An organized pantry is a game-changer when it comes to meal prep. By grouping similar items and ensuring everything is easy to find, you can reduce the time spent hunting for ingredients. Keeping your pantry organized also helps prevent food waste, which is always a win. I don’t know about you, but I work really hard not to waste any food. Pantry Organization Tips: Clear Containers: Store dry goods like pasta, grains, or beans in clear containers to quickly see how much you have. It’s a simple but effective way to keep track of ingredients. Plus, it looks good! • Label Everything: Labeling your pantry items (or the shelves) helps you find what you need without digging. Here’s a Pro Organizer tip: label expiration dates on your spices to prevent old bottles from hiding in the back. • Group Similar Items: Arrange your pantry by category—grains, canned goods, snacks, etc. Keep items you use most often within easy reach. Invest in the Right Tools Having the right tools can make all the difference when it comes to meal prep. But that doesn’t mean you need a kitchen full of gadgets. Focus on quality over quantity, and invest in tools that will make cooking more accessible and more enjoyable. Essential Tools to Invest In: Good knives: A sharp chef’s knife, a paring knife, and a serrated knife are all you will need. • Measuring tools: Accurate measuring cups and spoons help you follow recipes properly. If you cook without measuring, these tools can help with portioning and scaling up recipes. • Food processor: If you do a lot of chopping, dicing, or slicing a food processor is a game changer. It saves time and effort, especially when prepping large batches of ingredients. • Storage containers: Airtight containers are a must for leftovers, prepped ingredients, and dry goods. Glass containers are durable, microwave-safe, and perfect for keeping food fresh in the fridge.</image:title>

      <image:title>Blog - How To Curb Impulse Buying - Here we are, on the verge of the holidays. If you have a home full of stuff already, you may feel a bit anxious and overwhelmed about all the new gifts that will make their way through your front door in the next month or so. Also, there’s all the shopping you may be doing for others – and yourself!</image:title>
      <image:caption>Many of us find it hard not to treat ourselves during this season of presents. We see a good deal and think, “Oh, I love that!” Or “I should get that!” We frequently don’t stop to consider if we truly want it, can afford it, and have time for it. With all of that in mind, I want to share some simple tips and habit shifts that help prevent me from making misguided impulse purchases (especially when my brain says, “GO FOR IT!”).</image:caption>
    </image:image>
    <image:image>

      <image:title>Blog - How To Curb Impulse Buying - Tip Four: Remove Temptation If you don’t know what’s out there, you won’t see what you’re missing! Go through your phone and email and search for the sites you buy from most frequently. Then hit unsubscribe from their newsletters. A bonus tip is that your email will have less digital clutter! You can also block or limit access to shopping websites using a browser extension or app.</image:title>
      <image:caption>Tip Five: Ditch the Credit Cards Buying things online, or with one-click purchasing is so very easy (and that’s no accident – retailers know we love it when things are easy, and it helps push us to impulse buy more than we need). The problem is that paying electronically leaves us feeling disconnected from our finances. One idea is to take credit cards out of your wallet and pay with cash, like the old-fashioned days! This takes some serious discipline, but you will definitely be much more careful with what you open your wallet for. Another strategy is to remove credit cards from your accounts with online retailers. This simple switch can dramatically reduce frivolous spending by creating enough friction to make it easier to keep it moving. The idea is to make shopping less convenient, so you have to really think about what you’re about to do.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Blog - Streamlining Your Home: Systems to Simplify and Organize from a Professional Home Organizer - I don’t need to tell you that we live in a super hectic, fast-paced world, but did you know that having a streamlined and organized home can significantly reduce stress and improve productivity? It’s true! A clutter-free space isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about creating systems that work with your lifestyle. As a professional home organizer, I’ve seen how effective home organizing can positively impact the lives of my clients. However, achieving this level of order requires more than just tidying up; it involves creating systems that ensure everything has its place and helps maintain a sense of calm and control. Does that sound like a hassle to set-up? It’s not, and you will be so happy with the results! Here’s how to set up these systems:</image:title>

      <image:title>Blog - Streamlining Your Home: Systems to Simplify and Organize from a Professional Home Organizer - 4. Use Clear, Labeled Storage Containers A common challenge in home organizing is knowing where things are. Invest in clear, labeled storage containers to prevent frustration and wasted time. I promise you, this makes a huge difference! When items are grouped and easily visible, you can find what you need without sifting through clutter. • Baskets and Bins: Label each container by category (e.g., “Winter Clothes,” “Toys,” “Office Supplies”). Clear bins allow you to see what’s inside quickly. • Drawer Organizers: Use drawer dividers to sort smaller items like stationery, makeup, or kitchen utensils. Target has lots of affordable options. • Plastic or Fabric Bins: These are perfect for storing items under the bed or in closets. Use bins with lids to protect items from dust. And some come with wheels for super easy access. Clear, labeled storage containers help maintain order and make it easy to find things when needed (which is usually NOW)!</image:title>

      <image:title>Blog - How Professional Home Organizers Deal with Sentimental Clutter - Clutter can accumulate in our homes for various reasons (isn’t it bananas how things just…accumulate!), but one of the most challenging types to manage is sentimental clutter. Sentimental items—those cherished keepsakes, gifts, and mementos tied to memories—can weigh us physically and emotionally. Professional home organizers are well-versed in tackling this specific type of clutter and help clients navigate the often turbulent waters of memory and attachment. In this blog post, I’ll explore how I approach sentimental clutter, providing insights that may inspire you to take action in your home!</image:title>

      <image:title>Blog - How Professional Home Organizers Deal with Sentimental Clutter - 5. Encouraging Mindful Decision-Making Mindfulness is crucial in the organization process. I encourage clients to take a moment before making decisions about sentimental items. This pause helps them focus on the feelings and memories of each object rather than being overwhelmed by the sheer volume of items. Techniques such as journaling or meditation can assist in this process, enabling clients to clarify what truly matters to them.</image:title>

      <image:title>Blog - How to Organize Your Email - Tips from a Pro Organizer - 4. Use the 2-Minute Rule Ever heard of the 2-Minute Rule? It’s a productivity hack that says if a task takes two minutes or less, do it immediately. Apply this to your emails: if a message requires a quick reply, handle it as soon as you read it. This helps prevent your inbox from getting backed up and keeps everything flowing smoothly. This one is truly a game-changer! 5. Set Specific Email Times Instead of checking your email every few minutes, set aside specific times to deal with it. You might check your inbox first thing in the morning, after lunch, and at the end of the day. This approach is similar to scheduling regular clean-up sessions in your home—it keeps you on top of things without letting email interruptions disrupt your day. This tip will work best with your personal email account rather than your business account.</image:title>
      <image:caption>6. Unsubscribe from the Junk We all get tons of promotional emails and newsletters we don’t really care about. Take a moment to unsubscribe from those you never read and get into the habit of doing this every time. This is like cleaning out expired food from your pantry—removes the clutter and makes room for more important stuff. 7. Create Email Templates For emails that you find yourself sending over and over (like responses to common questions), set up templates. This way, you don’t have to rewrite the same thing each time, saving you time and hassle. It’s like having pre-made shopping lists for your grocery runs—efficient and stress-free. 8. Follow the ‘One-Touch’ Rule Try to deal with each email just once by responding, deleting, or filing it away. This prevents your inbox from getting cluttered and helps you stay on top of things. It’s similar to putting items back in their place after using them—it keeps everything tidy and organized. 9. Review and Adjust Regularly Finally, remember that keeping your inbox organized is an ongoing process. Just like a professional organizer regularly checks and updates their systems, you should periodically review your email management strategy. See what’s working and what’s not, and adjust as needed.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Blog - Ten Questions to Kick-Start Your Decluttering Journey - 6. Would I buy this item again? Your answer to this question can surprise you by how effective it is. Imagine you’re in a store and see the item. Is it going into your cart, or are you w alking right by it? Boom! There you go!</image:title>
      <image:caption>7. Would I pay full price for it? I’ve never met a person who said yes to this one. <image:title>Blog - Why You Have Trouble Decluttering Your Stuff - Are you familiar with the term sunken cost fallacy? It’s a mental trap we can fall into by our reluctance to let go of items we no longer – or never did – need. This psychological trick keeps us tethered to belongings we don’t want or use, cluttering our physical space and our minds. As a professional organizer, I've witnessed firsthand how this tendency can paralyze clients, preventing them from decluttering and organizing their homes. This could be happening in your life right now without you even realizing it.</image:title>

      <image:title>Blog - Why You Have Trouble Decluttering Your Stuff - Strategies for Overcoming the Sunken Cost Fallacy</image:title>
      <image:caption>Overcoming the sunken cost fallacy requires conscious effort and a willingness to prioritize utility and emotional well-being over past investments. Here are some effective strategies to help you let go: Is it useful? Assess each item based on its current usefulness. Be honest with yourself and determine if you have used it in the past year or if you foresee using it soon. Would you buy it again today? If not, that’s your sign to let it go. Embrace Minimalism: Adopting a minimalist mindset can be liberating. Focus on quality over quantity and surround yourself only with items that add value to your life. Consider Alternative Uses: When it comes to getting rid of things, please be conscientious. Could you gift it to someone who would enjoy it via a Buy Nothing Group? Check on recycling options for things you know shouldn’t go in the trash. When it comes to sentimental things, get creative! Conjure up a way to repurpose or display them. If you are tied to something, what joy is it bringing you by living in a dark basement box? Seek Support: Working with a professional organizer (hi!) or a trusted friend will provide objective feedback and moral support during the decluttering process. Do not discount the value of this!</image:caption>

In today's fast-paced world, our homes should serve as sanctuaries, places where we can retreat from the chaos and find solace. However, our houses often become stress sources rather than comfort From cluttered spaces to looming maintenance tasks, it's easy to feel overwhelmed by the demands of homeownership. Is this relatable? Well, I promise you, with a few strategic adjustments, you can completely transform your house into a haven that nurtures your well-being rather than draining it! Here's how to use your house to help you instead of adding to your stress:</image:title>

      <image:title>Blog - Transforming Your Home: A Guide to Turning Stress into Serenity - Establish Relaxation Zones</image:title>
      <image:caption>Carve out spaces in your home specifically designed for relaxation and rejuvenation. Create a meditation corner with soft cushions and calming decor, or set up a soothing spa-inspired bathroom with candles and bath salts. Having designated relaxation zones encourages you to prioritize self-care and unwind from the stresses of daily life. This is also a great idea for kids, as everyone needs this for our mental health.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Blog - Why Your Home Doesn’t Stay Organized</image:title>
      <image:caption>Let’s break some bad habits! I think we can all agree that coming home to a beautifully organized space gives you a high like no other. I’m talking about tidy spaces, clutter-free countertops, and closets where nothing is strewn on the floor. Sounds awesome, but the truth is that keeping things this way is the true challenge. But have no fear; it’s not impossible to turn this around. The key is to determine what is holding you back. Here are some common reasons why we have such trouble keeping the home organized:</image:caption>
    </image:image>
    <image:image>
      <image:loc>https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/652d7edfeab0b971e91b8789/1735928237869-6PMA3YRLYFEFOFT1RG6A/unsplash-image-U-k6XLlml1I.jpg</image:loc>
      <image:title>Blog - Why Your Home Doesn’t Stay Organized - When Was the Last Time You Decluttered?</image:title>
      <image:caption>I know, I know. But the truth is, if we keep bringing more and more things into our homes without getting rid of older things, you will have a significant pile-up, with closets jam-packed and a basement/garage full of who knows what. I understand that you may be decluttering once a year, but the truth is, we need to do it much more frequently. Think of the amount of food items you purchase and don’t use. Clothes that represent a different phase of your life. Equipment and supplies you purchased when you thought you’d get into a new hobby. If you commit to doing frequent (and quicker) decluttering sessions, you’ll be able to keep up with your stuff. A quick monthly scan of what’s in your fridge makes a huge difference overall. Or scan your pantry for expired products or things you know you won’t use (please donate non-expired, unopened products to your local food bank). Walk around your garage and break down all those “really good” Amazon boxes. Little by little, you can conquer so much by these micro sessions.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Blog - (Part 1) Simplifying Spaces: A Pro Organizer's Guide to Clearing Clutter - As a professional home organizer, I've seen it ALL when it comes to clutter. Clients often ask if their home is the worst I’ve ever seen (it’s usually not). But let me tell you, transforming chaos into calm is my jam. I can’t explain it, but seeing clean, clear spaces is relaxing! And seeing my client’s joy when we declutter and organize their homes is so satisfying. To that end, here are three areas I've tackled in my clients' homes to bring a sense of serenity to their spaces. Stay tuned for part two of this category, as there’s a whole lot to say on the topic!</image:title>

      <image:title>Blog - (Part 1) Simplifying Spaces: A Pro Organizer's Guide to Clearing Clutter - Gift Wrap Wrapping presents shouldn't be a source of stress, right? You can have a stylish and functional gift wrap station, but first, you’ll need to tackle the huge piles of various gift wraps and bags. I don’t know how we all accumulate so many gift bags, but it happens to the best of us. Go through every item and ruthlessly donate or recycle the things that aren’t in great shape. Then, if your pile is still enormous, cut it in half. I know, I know, there are good bags in there! But you will collect more, I promise that. And you do not need all of those Lululemon bags! Do the same for the bows, ribbons, and miscellaneous items. You can create a gift wrap station in a closet, an under-the-stairs space, or under a bed. The key is to have everything all together, including sharp scissors, tape, and pens. You can find gift wrap organizers at Target, The Container Store, and many other retailers. Or, you can do what I did - the gift wrap goes into a tall glass vase, and the bags and other supplies live in a medium-sized (labeled) tote. Just think how much easier the holidays will be once you have this task complete!</image:title>
